Spring is here! The time when the cherry-blossoms around Honan hall bloom
and signal the time for the annual Tokyo square dance club meeting.
Mr. Matumoto (the chairman) reported and approved the following.
Firstly the "2018 progress report" was presented as well as the accounting report
by Mr. Itagaki (chief) which was inspected by Mr.Yamamoto & Mr. Hasegawa.
And then, each committee chief gave reports on their respective activities.
Furthermore, the "new year activity plan" and the "new year budget plan"
were announced and approved.


Then we moved on to the election of the officers for the new year.
Mr. Numata who is in charge of the election administration proceeded with the election process.
The president, the vice-presidents and the chiefs of each committee were selected carefully.
As a result, 17 committee chiefs were chosen.

Our New Year's Party

at 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on January 19, 2019
at The restaurant [Boston]
at Eifukucho in Suginami, Tokyo

Though it was a little late, we held our new year's party splendidly together with approx.
53 club members. Mr. Wakamatu, the president,
officially opened the party by leading a "KAMPAI" (Cheers).
We had some gorgeous dishes, and drink as much as we liked.
And then, we all had a very good time.
The party was closed without any accident,
after we promised to keep on with our happy square dancing in 2017.

The 57th All-Japan Square Dance convention
was held in Convention Hall Plaza Verde in Numazu
for three days from September 14th to 16th 2018.
There were 33 people from the Tokyo square dance club
out of a total of 800 people who gathered from all over Japan.
The dance program was varied, from MS to C1,
and RD from phase 2 to phase 3+2 and a line dance.
There were many kind of dances that everyone could join.
Next year, the convention will be held in Hiroshima (Hiroshima)
by Chugoku and Shikoku District Branch Office.
Let's definitely participate again!

A Costume-exchange Event

Today we had a costume-exchange event at the regular dance meeting.
This event started because we wanted to reuse costumes
which are in the closet and not used any more.
With the member' cooperation we had more than 70 items.
When you supply the costumes, please make sure that they are washed.
They are sold at a price of 1,000yen for men's clothing and 2,000yen for ladies.
As there are so many costumes this time, it will be held next week, too.

The captioned party was held for the new dancers
who had finished their Beginners' SD School since Last Winter.
Those present were 400 SD fans, including 40 new dancers (1 tokyoSDC new dancers).
We suppose this would be probably the first chance
for the new dancers to have joined the great party.
Now Mr. Fujisaki (Shimura SDC) & Mr. Yamashita (Joto SDC) gave their instructions in SD.
Taking this opportunity, we hope all the new dancers will make a rapid progress in SD.

The Collaborated Meeting
of the Tokyo, Chiyoda SDCs
at Suimida Industrial Hall of Sumidaku

December 28. 2016
On Saturday, December 24th the collaborated meeting of the Tokyo,
Chiyoda SDCs took place in Suimida Industrial Hall of Sumidaku.
200 members from across the two clubs were warmly welcomed
by the chairpersons and everybody thoroughly enjoyed
- which flew by! Thanks must go to the Planning Committee
who worked tirelessly to ensure that the meet was successful.
Let's dance SD together again soon and build on our friendship in the future.

32th Tokyo SD Jamboree

December 7.2014
at Sumida Hall

Today we had a costume-exchange event at the regular dance meeting.
This event started because we wanted to reuse costumes
which are in the closet and not used any more.
With the member' cooperation we had more than 104 items.
When you supply the costumes, please make sure that they are washed.
They are sold at a price of 1,000yen for men's clothing and 2,000yen for ladies.
As there are so many costumes this time, it will be held next week, too.

- at Nakahara City Hall, Kawasaki on May 6, 2013 -

The celebrated five advanced & challenge callers in Japan, that is Messrs.
Motohiro Yoshimura, Takashi Yamasaki, Osamu Tajima, Toshifumi Ueno and Masaru Wada,
decided to hold the advanced program party entitled "Advance in Tokyo" regularly in Tokyo area.
In 2004, they had their first memorable party at Hikarigaoka Dome in Nerima, Tokyo.
This year, it is the Eighth, and 370 SD fans enjoyed dancing.
Members of the advanced club "Step by Step" managed by Mr. Masaru Wada
helped him with the party management,
and all the participants had a happy advanced program dancing.

Our Annual General Meeting 2013

-April.13.2013-

Spring is here! The time when the cherry-blossoms around Honan hall bloom
and signal the time for the annual Tokyo square dance club meeting.
Mr. Makiko Wakamatu (the chairman) reported and approved the following.
Firstly the "2012 progress report " was presented as well as the accounting report
by Mr. Soneda (chief) which was inspected by Mr. Yamamoto.
And then, each committee chief gave reports on their respective activities.
Furthermore, the "new year activity plan" and the "new year budget plan"
were announced and approved.

Then we moved on to the election of the officers for the new year.
Mr. Itohara who is in charge of the election administration proceeded with the election process.
The president, the vice-presidents and the chiefs of each committee were selected carefully.
As a result, 14 committee chiefs were chosen.

30th Tokyo SD Jamboree

December 2.2012
at Sumida Hall
Sponsorship: Tokyo Metropolitan Square Dance Liaison Conference
& Tokyo Metropolitan Fork Dance Federation.

This dance festival is held annually, and this year,
700 dancers from Tokyo participated.
Many dance members and 2 callers
from Tokyo Square Dance Club attended this festival.
It was a very enjoyable party.

51st Japanese National SD Convention in Nagoya

September. 25. 2012

August 30th to September 2nd 2012
Nagoya International Convention Center in Nagoya
Sponsored by : Japan Square Dance Association
Supported by : Chubu Unifying Branch office of the Japanese Square Dance Association
The 51st anniversary All-Japan Square Dance convention
was held in the Nagoya International Convention Center in Nagoya
for three days from August 30th to September 2nd 2012.
There were 28 people from the Tokyo square dance club out of a total of 1,100 people who gathered from all over Japan.
The dance program was varied, from MS to C1, and RD from phase 2 to phase 3+2 and a line dance.
There were many kind of dances that everyone could join.
Next year, the convention will be held in Sapporo (Hokkaido)
from September 6th to 8nd by the Hokaido Unifying Branch Office.
Let's definitely participate again!
